The Eye Center recognizes the need for tomorrow's LPNs and physicians to get training today. That's why The Eye Center has partnered with such institutions as The Ohio State University, Ohio Health, the VA Hospital, Columbus State University, and the Technology Education College to provide hands on training to students enrolled in various programs at these institutions.

LPN
The Eye Center in conjunction with Columbus State will be participating in their LPN training program. Students who are in their last quarter of nursing school will be participating in a clinical rotation at the Eye Surgery Center. The students will be assisting in the admitting and discharge of patients, (under the direct supervision of a RN) as well as observing surgical procedures.

Medical Assistant
The Eye Center in conjunction with the Technology Education College will be participating in an Externship program. Senior students will be doing their clinical rotation at the Eye Surgery Center for a 10 week period. These students will assist in the admitting and discharge of patients (under the direct supervision on a RN) as well as working in the business office.

Future Training
The Eye Center is in the process of working with Columbus State to assist with future training programs for LPN and Surgical Technicians students.

Residents
The Eye Center and Eye Surgery Center provides a learning experience for Fellows, Residents, Medical Students and Optometrist from OSU, Ohio Health and the VA Hospital.
